On Monday 31 March, the grand global gathering of gastronomy took place: the 2025 Michelin Guide France star ceremony. Nearly 1,000 starred chefs attended the event at the Metz Convention Centre, where the highly coveted awards were announced from 5pm — a moment eagerly awaited by chefs across the globe.
All six Michelin-starred chefs in the Moselle region retained their stars:
- Toya in Faulquemont, headed by chef Loïc Villemin (read our feature in KACHEN No. 42, available at newsstands). Also Green Star.
- Le K in Montenach, with Benoît Potdevin.
- Auberge Saint-Walfrid in Sarreguemines, by Stephan Schneider.
- L’Arnsbourg in Baerenthal, led by Fabien Mengus.
- Quai des Saveurs in Hagondange, by Frédéric Sandrini.
- Chez Michèle in Languimberg, run by Bruno Poiré.
A new star was also awarded to Charles Coulombeau for his restaurant Yozora, the Japanese-influenced fine dining venue at Metz’s Centre Pompidou, which opened in June 2024. This young chef already holds a Michelin star in Nancy for his restaurant La Maison dans le Parc.
