A new president for Les Sucrés du Lux

Les Sucrés du Lux, the club of pastry chefs from Luxembourg and the Greater Region united around their love of sugar, has announced the departure of its president.

President for the past 10 editions, Yves Jehanne announced at the last edition of the club on 28 March that he would be leaving the club and Luxembourg in the coming months. In his speech, in which he announced his intention to open a pastry shop in Toulouse in the south-west of France, he took the opportunity to introduce his successor Paul Bungert, who works at the Sofitel Grand Ducal as a pastry chef. A new President who intends to ensure the succession by making the group last through new themes and new challenges.

During this last edition, 9 pastry chefs and chocolatiers also showed the extent of their talent around chocolate. The artistic pieces of each were both spectacular and aesthetic. Each piece was accompanied by sweet treats in the form of entremets and fingers such as Emmanuelle Humblot (le Nid Chocolat Noisette), Alexandra Pancher (Magic Forest), Sébastien Bollot (Tarte au Chocolat), Paul Bungert (Charlotte Grand-Ducal) and Jonathan Szymkowiak (Délice Chocolaté). Nicolas Bourgard played the trompe l’oeil card with L’orange. Lola Valerius and Romain Rougeck, accompanied by Alexandra Kahn, proposed very sophisticated chocolate sweets. And finally, Yves Jehanne revisited his favourite dessert with his version of the Religieuse Chocolat.

We will be very happy to announce the date of the next edition and its theme soon, stay tuned!
