
Ingredients
- 4 pears (variety Conference)
- 1 bottle sweet white wine
- 4 tbsp of sugar
- 5 cardamom pods
- 3 cloves
- 3 peppercorns
Instructions
- Peel the pears with a peeler.
- Dry roast the spices in a saucepan over medium heat for 3 minutes.
- Add the white wine.
- Cook the pears for 20 minutes in the warm wine.
- Remove the pears and spices from the saucepan.
- Bring the wine to a boil and reduce for 15 – 20 minutes.
- Serve the pears with the syrup.
