
Ingredients
- 500 g small yellow onions
- 3 tbsp of butter
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 4 tbsp apple vinegar
- 4 tbsp of water
- Salt, pepper
- Fresh thyme
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Cut the onions lengthwise in half. Remove the skin.
- Melt the butter. Pour the melted butter, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar and water into a baking dish.
- Place onions cut side down in the dish. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with aluminium foil. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Turn the onions over and bake uncovered for another 20 minutes.
