The new hotel belonging to the Mélia Hotels International group opened its doors on the 21st of May 2021 at the Cloche d’Or. Blending a combined emphasis on quality design and sustainability, its restaurant ,de Gaart, promotes the importance of local products.
With a total number of 123 rooms across 4 storeys, INNSiDE welcomes not just professionals but anyone looking for an exciting and unique stay in a modern and stylish ambience. There are 3 different rooms to choose from – The INNSiDE ROOM, the standard room, the STUDIO, including amongst other things a yoga mat and a cosy sofa, and the TOWNHOUSE, which offers a full 42 m2 of home-like comforts, ranging from video games to a steam iron.
A core aspect to the hotel, however, is marked by its dedication towards sustainability. In that spirit, the accommodation avoids the use of single-use paper or plastic. Marcel Grosbusch, owner of this new venue, also values the prioritisation of local and regional products in de Gaart’s 109-seat restaurant. Offering a wide range of dietary options for lunch and dinner, the restaurant even includes a live cooking area. In keeping with the spirit of Luxembourg City’s community gardens, de Gaart (Luxembourgish for ” the garden”) enables the city’s residents, lacking private garden space, to plant their own flowers, fruit, vegetables and herbs in a shared space. On weekends, INNSiDE’s terrace hosts events and celebrations of all kinds.
