Oberweis in the heart of Trier

Luxembourg’s know-how is crossing borders

Another step forward for the future-orientated Oberweis family! In addition to the constant development and innovation of the brand’s products and ranges, Tom and Jeff Oberweis have, in recent years, been committed to the evolution of their points of sale and consumption, such as the restaurant and the new boutique currently being renovated at the Cloche d’Or. This progressiveness has also initiated the creation of an opening beyond borders. First, it led to the brand’s presence at airports, soon the website will be in French, German and English. And on July 22, the first Oberweis branch will open its doors in Germany.

This worthy representative of Luxembourg’s know-how opens an “Oberweis Luxembourg” shop in the historic heart of the charming city of Trier. It is located in the pedestrian centre, at Hauptmarkplatz 1, a prime location with a view onto the main square, where customers will be able to discover Oberweis products. Indeed, this completely new concept comes as a revamped version of a small tearoom, with a cosy 65 m2 space, ready to welcome 14 people in a venue combining refinement and modernity.

In this boutique, the brand values will be well represented: a perfect level of service and hospitality, showcasing emblematic products such as pastries, biscuits, chocolates, macaroons and other specialities of confectionery. The new line of take-away snacks, “côté comptoir”, will also be available.

Oriented towards local and cross-border customers in the first place, due to the events of the last few months the management is focusing on local tourism. With this new adventure, Oberweis hopes to encourage the residents of this charming historical city, as well as tourists passing through, to discover and appreciate its delicacies made in Luxembourg!
