5 Questions to Natascha Bintz
Natascha Bintz is an influencer in social networks, content creator, and mother of two young daughters. She describes herself as an “active traveller,” always combining travel and work. Even as a mother, she travels frequently and even more than before. On Instagram, she shares her tips for family vacations, emphasizing environmentally conscious travel.
How do you prefer to travel?
Since having children, we mostly travel by car. It is more practical and cost-effective than other means of transport. At the holiday destination, we like to sleep close to nature to enjoy our beloved bike rides, hikes, or simply relax by a lake. We often travel to Southern France to visit our families and explore the area.
Do you plan your trips in advance?
No, I have always been a spontaneous person. This has not changed with motherhood. Before departure, we decide on the cities we want to visit. On-site, we plan the day based on various factors: weather, our mood, and our children’s mood. Honestly, if you’ve had little sleep or if a child is just not feeling well, we won’t plan a big hike. By not overplanning, you avoid frustration. We just go with the flow and embrace unforeseen surprises as they come instead of complaining.
How do you manage to balance family and work on your travels?
I am a workaholic and do not like to be inactive during holidays. Therefore, I have always worked during vacations. I have been a freelancer for two years, creating content (photos and videos) for various brands. I take on assignments abroad that allow me to bring my family along. I believe it is important for my daughters to explore new places. I have traveled to over 30 countries in my life and have no intention of stopping now!
What was the last trip you took with your family?
We traveled to Provence with a motorhome (from Emile Weber). A completely new experience for us and the children, who loved it. Traveling with a motorhome means enjoying long drives, which suits us perfectly. I highly recommend it for families because it is comfortable and practical. We practically packed our entire house into our motorhome. The children spent the whole holiday outdoors in the fresh air and nature, falling asleep exhausted every evening. Perfect for the whole family.
And when you are alone as a couple — without children — where do you go?
If we manage to leave the parent role behind, we enjoy relaxing at a spa over a weekend. Two days just the two of us. Our only plan then: absolutely nothing!
