A funky partnership for BOFFERDING and ESCH2022

Bofferding, official partner of Esch2022, has announced its collaboration with Luxembourg artist Alain Welter to redesign its packaging and create a collector’s glass!

“Bofferding beer is part of Luxembourg’s intangible cultural heritage and therefore it was obvious for us to collaborate with Esch2022”, says Isabelle Lentz, COO of Bofferding.

As a partner of Esch2022, Bofferding wants to make art as accessible as possible. With the clear ambition to modernise their brand, Bofferding called upon the artistic talents of Alain Welter. The latter had already decorated the outside wall of the Brasserie Nationale building in Bascharage. 

Alain Welter, an artist specialised in street art, chose to personify the four ingredients of the Bofferding Pils recipe, namely hops, malt, water and yeast. The “Beer gang and the simply 4 funky ingredients” will adorn the Bofferding bottles, the cardboard packaging, and will also be featured on 1,500,000 special coasters and a collector’s glass printed in 15,000 copies.

 “It’s a cool and refreshing new packaging,” says the artist.

This funky collaboration can be found from now on in Cactus shops and from 13 February in other outlets.

You can enjoy a good Bofferding beer with the Esch2022 label at the Esch2022 launch party on 26 February and at all the events organised during this cultural year.
