Since it first opened in 2019, Brasserie Cloche d’Or has been enchanting the taste buds of supermarket customers with hearty seasonal fine dining. Nestled between the meat, deli and fish counters, this exceptional brasserie in the heart of Auchan invites guests into a dining room with a difference.

Those who take a table at Brasserie Cloche d’Or can look forward to a unique ambiance: 100 diners are served here every lunchtime. Even though immersed in the hustle and bustle of the supermarket, a meal here is a peaceful, relaxing experience. Welcoming round tables, comfortable benches and wooden partitions for added privacy: everything about this brasserie has been designed to make you forget that you are in the middle of an Auchan supermarket!

Chef-Prepared Cuisine, Made with Ingredients Available In-Store

Conducting a team of virtuosos in the kitchen is chef Olivier Thomassen. With over 20 years of experience and excellence in haute cuisine, this kitchen maestro has cooked in palaces and the European Parliament, and even on private jets. Today, he shares his culinary skill and expertise with everyone. Every day, he cooks up a creative menu, often incorporating ideas from his very international team.

Influences from Italy, Africa, Asia and elsewhere come together here and are transformed into fresh and exciting dishes.

And the best thing is that all the ingredients used can be found on the shelves of your local Auchan! Offering culinary inspiration and making it easy to recreate your gourmet lunch at home.

In addition to Brasserie Cloche d’Or, Chef Thomassen is also in charge of the kitchen at La Table des Sommeliers in La Cloche d’Or’s wine section, which can seat up to 20 people for a unique dining experience. “We work closely with the sommeliers to offer the best pairings,” he says.

A Varied Menu

From 11.30 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday, the brasserie offers a set menu (starter, main course, dessert) for €37, a dish of the day for €20 and à la carte delicacies. It’s an offering that delights both regulars and curious customers alike. Like Franck, who comes here for lunch every day: “It’s a real treat to enjoy such delicious and varied dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. It’s the perfect place for lunch: the food’s great, the service is great, the atmosphere’s great… What’s not to love?!

The menu is revised around five times a year, but always features its core classics: caviar, New York-style deep-fried oysters with a spicy mayonnaise, lobster served in Auchan’s signature brioche bun and veal risotto. And to accompany your meal, Auchan’s bakers also provide a selection of artisan bread and rolls in a variety of flavours every day.

Together with his sous-chef Thierry Ballester, Chef Thomassen also manages the supermarket’s deli and prepares hot dishes to go for customers in a rush from Monday to Friday lunchtime. Here too, the head chef attaches great importance to offering inventive, international creations made with high-quality ingredients.
