On 14th October 2023, Wengler Châteaux & Domaines invites you to a curated wine journey spanning Piedmont, Sicily, and Savoie. From the legacy of Barolo’s transformation to the volcanic nuances of Etna and the diversity of Savoie, immerse yourself in a day of exploration and appreciation.
The doors of Wengler Châteaux & Domaines, located at 2 Rue Neuve, 6581 Rosport-Mompach, will swing open to welcome wine aficionados for a journey through the iconic wine regions of Piedmont, Sicily, and Savoie on the 14th of October. From 10 am to 06 pm, attendees will be immersed in a walking tasting experience, guided by the very winemakers who crafted the wines. With a ticket priced at just 10€, participants will be handed a tasting glass, unlocking access to over 100 wines. To complement the wine, Bella Ciao will be serving culinary delights, ensuring a gastronomic experience. Additionally, attendees can avail themselves of a 15% discount on selected wines.
Piedmont’s legacy as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is deeply intertwined with its famed Barolo and Barbaresco vineyards. The Barolo wine, once a hidden gem crafted from Nebbiolo grapes, underwent a transformation in the 1980s and ’90s. This change was spearheaded by the Barolo Boys, a group of innovative winemakers. The event will feature wines from some of these trailblazers, including Elio Altare and Giorgio Rivetti.
Beyond Piedmont, the tasting will journey to the volcanic terrains of Sicily’s Etna vineyard, represented by Tenuta Delle Terre Nere. The diverse flavours of Savoie will also be on display, with offerings from The Ardoisières and La Combe des Grandes Vignes estates.
