In Pilsen, one can not only learn everything worth knowing about the production of the famous beer from the former Bohemian royal city but also relax by bathing in barley juice and dive tipsily into the underworld.
Pastel-coloured houses with magnificent gables dominate the cityscape in the city centre of Plzeň, as Pilsen is called in Czech. The flagship square in Europe’s Capital of Culture in 2015 is lined with the 1559 town hall, the historic Imperial House, and the gilded plague column from 1681.
