This summer, Séverin Laface opened his eighth restaurant, Ceruzzi, in La Cloche d’Or. The restaurant features expansive terraces and continues to serve the beloved recipes that have made the “little ones” of Come à la Maison so successful.
“Two weeks ago, we threw a massive party here! We had a DJ, over 1,000 guests, and the dancing went on late into the night””it was incredible! It was an Aperinetwork event, organized by Gaia (Pempy, an event manager). We plan to host more of these parties and will apply for permits to hold all-night events since there are no residents nearby,” Séverin Laface shares enthusiastically.
“My Grandmother’s Name”
But don’t get it wrong””Laface isn’t talking about the latest trendy club. He’s referring to Ceruzzi, his Italian restaurant that opened at the end of June in place of the former Comptoir Bohème. “Ceruzzi was my grandmother’s name from Calabria,” explains the French-Italian owner.
The enormous restaurant, located across from the Oberweis headquarters, and its three terraces can accommodate up to 350 guests. “For now, let’s say 250,” the host adds cautiously. During the week, the venue caters to business lunches, colleague meet-ups, and after-work events. On weekends, it’s more lively, with a family-friendly atmosphere on Sundays. The space truly has something for everyone. “We even have a children’s room, a cozy play area that’s already in place but will be relocated in September.”

Take-away Coming Soon
With the start of fall, the Italian restaurant will also launch a take-away counter””an absolute necessity for those working in the heart of Gasperich’s business district. The menu offers something for every taste: ceviches, tartares, salads, classic wood-fired pizzas with homemade dough, risottos, fish, lobster from the tank, and even sushi! At the bar, Andrea, a true mixology expert, crafts memorable cocktails. And of course, the restaurant group’s famous Sunday brunches are also on the agenda.
The decor, a strength of the former furniture dealer Laface, has been enhanced with a few “Come” touches, like a stylish slicing machine. The space was already well-designed, so only minor adjustments were needed.

Five Restaurant Openings in a Year
After opening five restaurants in nearly a year (Piccolo Come, Dolce Come, Italia Come, Come al Teatro, and Ceruzzi), one might wonder if Séverin Laface will continue this streak. “No, that’s it for this year,” jokes the head of the Come à la Maison group, which also includes La Rôtisserie ardennaise and the Mercato in Strassen, now managing over 200 employees.
But it’s uncertain if the serial restaurateur will stop there. “It’s always about opportunities. We’ll see what the future holds!”
