This summer, Yo by Yogurtlandia has opened its doors in Belval Plaza, offering Luxlait yogurt ice cream and other sweet treats.
“Yes, it’s frozen yogurt, but of high quality and homemade!” That’s exactly what Marco and Valérie Selvaggi aim to provide with the Yogurtlandia they opened this summer in Belval. “While it’s an Italian franchise, we’ve completely tailored it to the preferences of Luxembourg’s clientele,” explains Valérie, who has been familiar with and appreciated the Italian concept for many years. “We work, among others, with Luxlait, a true mark of quality for everyone in the Grand Duchy.”
“A World of Indulgence”
Here, the craving for sweets reaches its peak. Even the details of the decor””candy colors, balloons, pink, blue, pastel shades””stimulate the appetite as soon as you step into the shop in the heart of Belval Plaza. “You step into a world of indulgence,” smiles the owner.
With or Without Sugar
A glance at the menu makes the choices even more tempting: smoothies, bubble waffles, milkshakes, crêpes, coffees… and of course, frozen yogurt (here known as “Yogurts”). And if your blood sugar spikes just looking at the pictures, Valérie Selvaggi reassures: “We also offer sugar-free frozen yogurt.” This means that even the health-conscious and diabetics are warmly welcome!
You can choose to top your yogurt or waffle (depending on the season) with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, gummy bears, Smarties, chocolate, Kinder Bueno, pineapple, hazelnuts, bananas, or marshmallows.
From Career Change to a Sweet Business Idea
The desire for a change in life came to this Luxembourgish couple during the pandemic. She, formerly a real estate finance consultant, and he, a former football manager, felt the urge for a new direction. Together with childhood friends, they decided to bring this indulgent project to life.
Frozen Temptations — All Year Round!
“Belval Plaza is the future. There’s always something happening here, a lot of movement, many young people. We offer products for all generations. And our frozen yogurts can be enjoyed in any season, as they’re much less cold than traditional ice cream.”
Even in less favorable weather, you won’t hesitate to try a bubble waffle or homemade pancakes/crêpes. About 30 seats are available for guests: “And we offer everything to go as well!” Here, students meet grandmothers with their grandchildren, teenagers on a shopping spree, and casual passersby looking for a little break.
