Dubai – Expo, Desert, Glittering World

Since October 1, the emirate has gained an additional attraction with the opening of Expo2020. Not only does the World Expo itself captivate visitors from around the globe, but also the Luxembourg Expo2020 Pavilion, an architectural gem that the Dubai government would like to keep even after March 31, 2022, when Expo2020 closes its doors.

The Luxembourg Pavilion in Dubai, which has impressed the authorities so much, is designed like a gigantic Möbius strip, a twisted surface with only one edge and one side, where you cannot differentiate between top and bottom or inside and outside. Don’t worry: you won’t stumble inside the pavilion, but you will certainly be amazed! For example, when you exit the building via a tube slide. Dubai’s Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashemi and Luxembourg’s Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot have signed an agreement: The Luxembourg Pavilion is allowed to stay in Dubai. Yet another reason to visit the glittering desert metropolis!
