It is due to open in a few weeks’ time. The food court at the Belle Etoile shopping centre in Bertrange today unveiled its name and some of its attributes.
The future Food Court of La Belle Étoile has finally been unveiled. After more than two years’ work, the famous food hall that once housed a number of different restaurants has been dusted off, cleaned up, revisited and redesigned. The new concept is called “G.A.N.G”. Four letters for Générosité, Amour, Nourriture et Goût (Generosity, Love, Food and Taste), as announced on Tuesday on the Instagram account “Amour Food”, owned by Stéphanie Jauquet, who already runs the Cocottes group and the Um Plateau restaurant.
“Au revoir Amour Food, Bonjour Specto”, wrote the account, followed by the hashtags “#openingsoon #newplaceintown #restaurant #horeca #foodlover #food #luxembourg #restaurantluxembourg”. In its description, the new Specto account explains: “Restaurant. Opening soon in the G.A.N.G. foodhall at La Belle Étoile”.

In this Instagram post, we learn the name of the next restaurant due to open at the end of August in the new Food Court (called Foodhall on this project) at La Belle Etoile, whose name ‘G.A.N.G’ is also revealed.
On the Instagram account linked to G.A.N.G this time, we learn that there will be 2 restaurants, 1 bar and 1 foodhall, “Opening soon” at La Belle Etoile.

The restaurants will include the Specto restaurant, run by chef Morris Clip, former chef of Tempo, previously at the Philharmonie, and another brasserie restaurant run by Salvatore Barberio, Stéphanie Jauquet’s partner in this project.
As for the bar, the famous Um Plateau ‘bar où Manger’ will be serving cocktails all week long, and DJs will be dancing the night away until 1 am from Thursday to Saturday.
In the foodhall, there will be something for everyone: pizza, pasta, rotisserie, burgers, Asian cuisine, as well as a beer bar. Everyone will be able to choose the dish they want before sharing their meal with family or friends, comfortably seated on the comfortable benches surrounding the central tables. In all, the 1,650 m2 of space will be easy to navigate, with different colours – white, green and orange – separating the different areas. The 450-odd place settings should be available in September!
