Are you looking for a fun, family-friendly sports activity during the holidays? Why not go ice skating? Here we list the ice rinks in the country where you can take lessons, try your hand at the triple lutz or simply enjoy a leisurely slide with a well-deserved mulled wine afterwards.
In Luxembourg city
Don’t miss the city’s indoor ice rink, where you can express your artistic creativity on a surface of 1800 m2. It is also possible to take lessons with the Pingo School. Reservations can be made on the rink’s website.
Did you know? It is also possible to climb into the ice resurfacer (for children over 6 years old).
In the magnificent setting of Kinnekswiss Park, try your hand at skating on this 500 m2 outdoor rink (part of which is covered), before warming up in a chalet with a wurst and a glühwein!
In the rest of the country
The ice rink in Mamer is opened until the 5th January. Admission is free and skate hire is also free. A visit here is also a good opportunity to visit the Mamer Christmas market after a round of skating.
The most traditional ice rink in Luxembourg is located under a unique tent roof. You can skate or drive a go-kart on ice!
In the middle of a festively decorated tent, this synthetic ice rink welcomes you to Dr F. Kons Square throughout December. The rink measures 300 m² and is open from 29 November to 5 January.
The synthetic ice rink at the Christmas market in Differdange is opening again this year. You can hit the slopes here all afternoon of the week, until 22 December!
