Maison Oberweis will soon be opening its doors in the future Cactus shopping centre in Esch-Lallange. The opening is scheduled for the second half of 2025.
A beautiful space in the Cactus Esch-Lallange
After celebrating its 60th anniversary last February, Maison Oberweis is continuing to perpetuate its tradition of craftsmanship excellence with the announcement of a brand new shop in the future Cactus Esch-Lallange, an urban project currently under construction that will combine a hypermarket, shopping mall and residential areas while meeting the latest ecological standards.
The future Oberweis shop will occupy a sales area of 132m² and will offer a wide selection of confectionery products and sweet and savoury treats to take away or eat in. Whether for breakfast or a gourmet break, customers will be able to enjoy a cosy tearoom area with seating for a few.
The 9th boutique in Luxembourg
With this new opening, Maison Oberweis, now home to 3 generations of passionate craftsmen wants to strengthen its presence in the country. This new boutique will bring the number of Oberweis boutiques in Luxembourg to nine.
“I work on opportunity. We took the gamble of opening in Schifflange in 2021 to measure our reputation in the south of the country, and we don’t regret it. We hope it will be a success in Esch-Lallange and that it will enable us to satisfy our customers even more,” says Jeff Oberweis, Co-Director of Maison Oberweis.
Withdrawal from Trier
While Oberweis is expanding its presence in Luxembourg, the company is simultaneously withdrawing from the German market. The Trier branch, the patisserie’s only foreign outlet, will soon close. On its website, the company announced that due to the impending closure, it has stopped taking orders since October 9, 2024. However, the exact closing date is not yet known. Management cites the difficult economic situation for businesses in Trier as the reason. Despite initial success, the hoped-for growth could not be achieved.
