On Thursday 25 September, the Italian restaurant Bella Ciao on Avenue Monterey unveiled its newly redesigned upper floor, christened “Primo Piano”. The new space not only provides additional seating but also a welcoming setting for convivial evenings and live music.
Bella Ciao is already a household name. As the flagship of the Black Sheep group, it caters to both the upper town and Mersch with Neapolitan pizzas and other Italian classics. Now, its Avenue Monterey location, just a stone’s throw from Place d’Armes, boasts a freshly opened upper floor.
The new level is designed for comfort, tastefully furnished with a subtle retro touch – just as one would expect from the Black Sheep group. Wood, warm colours and carefully planned lighting create an ambience equally suited to relaxed get-togethers or more festive occasions.
At the rear, a space with subdued lighting and a large round table provides the perfect setting for business meetings or private gatherings that call for greater discretion.
Another highlight is the cocktail bar, where bartenders serve up signature drinks with an Italian twist: a pistachio Moscow Mule, a white chocolate Negroni or an Aperol Spritz given a kick with a dash of mandarin. Right next to it is a small DJ booth that comes to life at weekends, bringing a more exuberant atmosphere.
There is also a small rooftop terrace, set to be ready for the coming summer season. The entire upper floor can be booked exclusively – whether for birthdays, corporate events or other occasions. Combined with Bella Ciao’s well-known specialities, it becomes a venue offering endless possibilities for memorable evenings.
