  • 1 Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves of Garlic (minced)
  • 1 Egg
  • 60 g of breadcrumbs
  • 60 g of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Olive oil
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes (800g)
  • 2 cloves of Garlic (minced)
  • Minced fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh basil (to garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into small meatballs.
  2. Heat some olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the meatballs and brown them on all sides. Remove the meatballs from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add more olive oil if needed and sauté the minced garlic over medium heat until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, the minced fresh basil, salt and pepper, and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the meatballs back to the pan and continue to simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the meatballs are cooked through.

  7. Drain the spaghetti and place in the plates. Top with sauce and meatballs.
