Studio Taste: A taste of GRIDX food hall in Limpertsberg

A brand-new place has recently opened its doors in Limpertsberg: Studio Taste, brought to life by the team at Concept & Partners. The idea? Every three weeks, visitors can enjoy a new culinary experience, offering a preview of what’s to come at the GRIDX food hall, set to launch on 1st September in Wickrange.

A taste of what’s to come

Studio Taste is located on the former site of the wine bar Barrels at the Glacis (Allée Scheffer), and will remain open until September. “Taste will be the name of the GRIDX food hall. The aim here is to give people a feel for the street food atmosphere that we’re creating for the food hall’s opening in September,” explains Stéphanie Reuter, who oversees both the organisation of the Taste food hall and Studio Taste.

Spread over 2,500 square metres, Taste to be opened in Wickrange in the huge GRIDX complex, will offer a global culinary journey with a street food twist, housing 16 food stands. Expect everything from ramen, tacos and Lebanese dishes to sushi, bao and dumplings something for every palate.

A rotating theme every 3 weeks — for lunch and dinner

Inside Studio Taste in Limpertsberg, a single long wooden table, where guests sit, sets the tone for a warm, communal atmosphere. “We’re aiming to create a real sense of community”. The décor changes every three weeks to reflect the evolving menu themes.” Following the opening chapter Share the Love, the next theme ‘Green Goddess’ is all about celebrating vegetables. “Our executive chef will be serving up bowls, fresh salads, and creative takes on burritos,” adds Stéphanie.

Next up will be an Asian-inspired journey Trip to Asia’, followed by an Italian stopover Casa della Nonna, and then a chapter dedicated to meat lovers, fittingly called Meat Lovers.

From September, the food service will end and the venue will transition into a bar, with regular events still on the agenda.

‘Breakfast & Beats’ and other unique concepts

Every Wednesday morning from 7am to 10am, Studio Taste hosts a musical breakfast to kickstart the day. At the decks: DJ Oreo. On the plate: a breakfast menu featuring waffles, fruit, granola, and pastries. “Everything is prepared in-house by our executive chef,” says Stéphanie.

Ordering and payment are done via a QR code placed on the table. “We’re trialling the system that will be used in the future food hall,” she explains. Having ordered a strawberry waffle and a yoghurt with granola (for just 8 euros), we can confirm the process runs smoothly.

Beyond this musical concept, the venue also opens one Sunday each month for brunch, and also hosts friendly pasta nights as well as themed dinners in collaboration with the Luxembourgish jewellery brand Romantico Romantico.

A variety of collaborations

Studio Taste is also working on special collaborations to keep the venue buzzing throughout the summer. These include Amour-Bouche with a rosé and tapas evening, further events with Romantico Romantico, as well as artistic pairings with Sumo and Tamar gin.
