Two stars for Louis

The Guide MICHELIN awards the culinary art of LOUIS at the La Maison Hotel for the second time! What’s more, there is also a new bar concept to be discovered.

Having already honoured Martin Stopp’s cuisine with a first Michelin star in 2019, the Guide MICHELIN ennobled the LOUIS restaurant at La Maison Hotel in Saarlouis with a second star. Stopp’s ingredients for success: a blend of French culinary art and a great deal of experimentation and creativity. Guests can now relish his fine cuisine with a new, casual bar concept called petit LOUIS. Enjoy gourmet delights in the form of 14 small creations in nine courses for 89 euros at favourite spots such as the bar and library of La Maison. This culinary novelty is complemented by an exclusive wine list.

The chef, along with owner Günter Wagner, is delighted: “Since we go our own way in the style of our cuisine, the second star is confirmation for me that our path is the right one. I feel the greatest gratitude for my team, whose hard work is recognised with this honour.” Martin Stopp, who grew up in Schwarzenholz in the district of Saarlouis, can already look back on several years in the starred kitchen. He completed his training with three-star chef Klaus Erfort. He was also head chef at “Le Noir” in Saarbrücken.
