Following in the footsteps of Wolt a few months ago, Uber Eats has arrived in Luxembourg, joining the ranks of home meal delivery services such as Wedely, Goosty and Foostix. Nearly 200 restaurants and local businesses are now available on the app.
Target: delivery in under 30 minutes
Luxembourg City joins more than 10.000 cities worldwide where Uber Eats offers food delivery services. At launch, the service will be available to 60% of Luxembourg’s population, primarily in the cantons of Luxembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette, with plans to expand to other cantons.
‘We are delighted to bring Uber Eats to Luxembourg City, allowing consumers to enjoy meals from their favourite local restaurants delivered straight to their doorstep in less than 30 minutes,’ said Rick Janse Kok, Communications Director at Uber Eats. ‘Our goal is to support the local restaurant industry by providing them with a platform to reach more customers and grow their business.’
200 local restaurants in, and more to come
Uber Eats in Luxembourg will offer a selection of restaurant partners, such as Manso Group or Burger Brothers, guaranteeing a diverse range of culinary options for all tastes.
“A local chain since 2017, Burger Brothers began its adventure in Thionville, where we have been working with our partner Uber Eats since day one of our installation. We are delighted to be working with them again in Luxembourg, where we have been operating two restaurants for 3 years (rue Glesener and rue des Bains). We’re really looking forward to continuing this collaboration with a name as well-known and successful as Uber Eats”, says Anis Badjoudj, Founder & CEO of Burger Brothers in Luxembourg.
Use of your existing Uber Eats account
If you already have an Uber Eats account that you use when travelling abroad, the good news is that this account also works in Luxembourg, with no changes necessary. For new users, Uber Eats is very easy to use by downloading an application on your Android or iOs platform. You can also order via their website.
Delivery charges start at €2.49 and rise to €5.49 depending on distance. There is also a service charge of €2.40. There are of course special offers for new subscribers on the site to encourage new orders. It’s up to you to try them out.
