Finnish delivery specialist Wolt, which launched in the Grand Duchy in February, announces new Managing Director.
Wolt Luxembourg, which arrived in the Grand Duchy at the end of February, has recently undergone a leadership change: Tomás Etcheverry has taken over from Loren Danesi, who was present at the launch of this new delivery service. Etcheverry has been the new Managing Director of the Luxembourg operation since September 16. After a long career in e-commerce, he recently led Amazon’s international expansion from Luxembourg. He has also worked for Oracle and AB InBev in Argentina.

“Our team in Luxembourg consists of about twenty people – relatively small but highly dedicated. I’ve been impressed by the office’s professionalism and energy. In many ways, Wolt today reminds me of Amazon’s early days, particularly in terms of dynamism and speed of execution. One example of this innovation culture is our recently launched ‘double order’ feature in Luxembourg. This allows customers to order from two different establishments while paying delivery fees only once. Imagine wanting fried chicken while your partner prefers sushi – it’s now possible in our app. Wolt makes life easier for its customers while creating real value for our partners and couriers,” comments Tomás Etcheverry.
Wolt, a Finland-based fintech company, launched its services in Luxembourg on Thursday, February 29, 2024. “Using the Wolt app, customers can order from partner restaurants and receive delivery in less than 30 minutes,” the company explained. Delivery fees start at €2.49 and are capped at €5.99 depending on distance.
