Art de deux – The art of sculpture meets the art of wine

This summer, the Valentiny Foundation and Domaines Vinsmoselle are joining forces to host the sculptures of the famous artist Iva Mrazkova on a green stage in the heart of the two properties.

Domaines Vinsmoselle has been a key actor in Remerschen since 1948. They are the guardians of a wine heritage and know-how, which the wine library of the Caves du Sud Remerschen invites you to discover in complete simplicity.

For its part, the Valentiny Foundation, created in 2014 by François Valentiny, aims to make a cultural, educational and touristic contribution. The Valentiny Foundation has become a place of cultural encounters over the last few years and regularly schedules temporary exhibitions to complement its permanent exhibition. It is therefore in a spirit of “Art meets Art” that this project of ” outdoor pop-up art gallery” was born.

The choice for the sculptural works naturally fell on Iva Mrazkova, well known on the international scene for her steel/corten sculptures that she has been creating since 2007 with the Ateliers Jean Bichel. Domaines Vinsmoselle and the Valentiny Foundation have already had the pleasure of working with this key figure in the Luxembourgish art scene. Born in 1964 in Opava in the Czech Republic, the independent artist settled in Luxembourg more than thirty years ago. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Pietra Vanucci Academy in Perugia, Italy, she has built up a notable international reputation for both her pictorial and sculptural work.
