Last night, 25 September, a gala evening was held to celebrate the 10 years anniversary of our food and lifestyle magazine. Here’s a look back at the highlights of this magnificent evening at the Hôtel Le Royal.
The festivities took place in the reception room of the Le Royal hotel, a loyal partner of our magazine for many years.
Nearly 200 enthusiasts from across the culinary spectrum””from acclaimed chefs and restaurateurs to passionate market-gardeners, artisanal producers, and esteemed winegrowers, alongside devoted food aficionados””gathered to commemorate our momentous 10th anniversary celebration.

Speeches and testimonials
Bibi Wintersdorf, editor-in-chief of Kachen and founder of Luxe Taste & Style, opened the speeches by looking back on 10 years of Kachen. We were delighted to hear a few kind words from two-starred chef Cyril Molard. Another chef, Carlo Sauber, who has been involved with Kachen from the outset, spoke of the importance of the culinary arts and their promotion in Luxembourg.
A gourmet evening full of bubbles
KACHEN’s birthday party naturally includes some excellent food! The ‘Foodamental’ gastronomic association, represented yesterday by chefs Paul Fournier (Le Royal), Rachel Rameau (Pefferkär), Yann Castano (Sofitel), and Gilbert Welter delighted guests with creative and delicious savoury bites. The Royal teams also served divine amuse-bouches.

For a sweet touch, the Sucrés du Lux association, represented yesterday by pastry chefs Paul Bungert (Ma Langue Sourit**), Florian Chauvière (Skybar) and Jonathan Szymkowiak (Kaempff-Kohler), came up with original sweet creations that left no one indifferent!
The sumptuous birthday cake for our 10th anniversary was as large as it was delicious, made by none other than Jeff Oberweis!
As for the drinks, the bubbles of Crémant Vignum from Domaines Vinsmoselle made our guests’ palates sparkle. Wengler Châteaux et Domaines, with its barman Richard Gillam, offered inventive and delicious cocktails, and Saint-Germain was on hand to introduce guests to the Saint-Germain Spritz. Les Grands Chais de France had prepared a fine selection of refined wines and, of course, Rosport water to keep you hydrated throughout the evening! And let’s not forget Niice, who served up some excellent ice creams.
