- For the dough:
- 250 ml warm water
- 11 g active dry yeast
- 30 g sugar
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 5 g salt
- 30 g olive oil
- For the toppings:
- 125 g pesto sauce
- 200 g broccoli florets, steamed
- 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- To make the dough: In a large bowl, mix together the water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
- Add in the flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 220°C.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to desired thickness.
- Spread the pesto sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the steamed broccoli over the pesto sauce.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake the pizza in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
