In our section “KACHEN tested,” we review trending restaurants unannounced. On Friday, June 14th, our Team tried out the new bistronomic restaurant “Kore Ristorante” in Steinfort.
Steinfort boasts a number of renowned restaurants, such as the recently Michelin-starred Apdikt and An der Villa by chef Thomas Murer. A new opening, the restaurant Kore, is also trying to make a name for itself by offering bistronomic Italian cuisine. Here’s our experience:
A chic and cosy atmosphere
In a very pleasant setting, both chic and cosy, Kore offers refined Italian cuisine with a twist. The restaurant, run by an Italian family, offers several formulas, a 3- or 7-course menu as well as a 100% pasta menu. For the less adventurous, the à la carte menu is of course also available.
The experience: the 7-course menu
We decided to try out the 7-course menu. This experience offers culinary discoveries and overall was really tasty.
We started with an amuse-bouche of fried aubergine, tomatoes and stracciatella, which was delicious. This was followed by two pasta-based starters: one with courgette and fish tartare and the second one, presented cold, was spaghetti with vegetables and wakame seaweed.
This was followed by a salsiccia risotto, which was just delicious, and not forgetting the fish dish, a tuna tataki with kiwi and wasabi, as well as the meat, a grilled fillet of beef accompanied by red rice.
We ended the meal on a fresh note with a basil panna cotta with macerated strawberries.

In conclusion
We recommend it, whether you’re looking for a discovery menu or an à la carte menu, there’s something for everyone. And if you’re not sure what to have, don’t hesitate to ask the owner or her daughter for advice, they’ll give it with a smile and a great deal of professionalism. A la prossima on our side!
