On 13 July 2025, the Valentiny Foundation in Rëmerschen invites guests to a unique experience for all the senses: Musique + Perceptions brings together music, taste and perception in a one-of-a-kind total artwork — an initiative by the ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin in collaboration with the Bouneweger Lycée.
At the heart of the event is the lunchtime format Dans tous les sens, a four-course sensory menu created by Carlo Sauber and Thomas Murer. Both are key figures in Luxembourg’s emerging gastronomic scene: Carlo Sauber, known for his product-driven cuisine, his teaching at the Bouneweger Lycée and, of course, his long-standing collaboration with KACHEN, and Thomas Murer, former head chef of “An der Villa” in Steinfort, now also a cookery teacher at the same lycée. They are supported by the school’s full gastronomy team.
The menu titeled “Dans tous les sens” will be accompanied by a sound composition specially created for the occasion by US composer Aaron Einbond, renowned for his experimental works at the crossroads of electronics, everyday noise and live performance. His new piece reflects the acoustic world of the kitchen — steaming pots, slicing knives, simmering aromas — and blends it with the culinary experience to create an immersive sensory whole.
Musique + Perceptions is an artistic statement for interdisciplinary collaboration, an invitation to experience the familiar anew — with open senses and a refined palate.
