The NGO Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg offers 1000 Fairtrade croissants to medical staff, carers and helpers in Luxembourg

Heroes from here – heroes from elsewhere: solidarity with all workers around the world!

May 1st is a day that symbolises the struggles of workers for decent working conditions. Today, with Covid-19, the struggle is as present for medical personnel fighting to save lives, for producers and workers in the South struggling for survival because of disrupted supply chains, and for local workers struggling to keep local activity going.

With this symbolic gesture, the board members and employees of the NGO Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg wish to thank all these workers and also to show that solidarity knows no borders.

Jos&Jean Marie Neuberg produced these croissants from Fairtrade cocoa and sugar and with local ingredients and distributed them this morning to the different sites (Centre hospitalier Emile Mayrisch / Hôpital intercommunal de Steinfort / Hôpitaux Robert Schuman).
