The Domaine de la Klauss was awarded Best Hotel Bar 2022 at the Prix Villégiature in Paris.
The “Villégiature Awards” are similar to the Oscars in the world of international hotels and have been rewarding the most beautiful hotels in the world since 2003 with a jury of 22 leading journalists from the world press.
The Domaine competed in three categories and was nominated in all of them: Grand Prix for Best Charming Hotel, Grand Prix for Best Hotel Ambience, and Best Hotel Bar. The Domaine was nominated alongside several other Relais & Châteaux establishments, such as the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo, the Baku Marriott (Azerbaijan) and the Kahani Paradise in India.
Alexandre Keff, founder and manager of the Domaine, his wife Mathilde Keff, Director of Operations and Customers, and Grégoire Prigent, Director of Catering, attended the award ceremony and were thus happy and proud to receive the award for Best Hotel Bar, under the friendly eye of the Domaine’s sponsor, Nelson Monfort!
One of the latest additions to the Domaine is the opening of the restaurant Le Komptoir, which serves the restaurant part of the hotel’s brand new and very cosy lounge bar. The latter was added to the existing building during the COVID closures.
At the Komptoir, it is the former Chef of “La Lorraine” in Zoufftgen and cousin of Alexandre, Lucien Keff, who officiates. Lucien has worked for Alain Ducasse in Monaco (3 Michelin stars), the Veyrat restaurant in Annecy (3 Michelin stars) and the Table des Guilloux in Luxembourg (2 Michelin stars). He offers creative dishes to share, some of which are cooked in a wood-fired oven.
Of course, these dishes go hand in hand with the bar menu, rich in cocktails and spirits, always renewed by a dynamic and professional team. Live music evenings are organised every weekend and provide a festive and original atmosphere.
