A 100% Luxembourgish honey-based gin? This is now a reality thanks to two Luxembourgish startups Opyos and Mellis who have joined forces to create Beesy – Luxembourg Honey Gin.
Beesy – Luxembourg Honey Gin is the result of a collaboration between two groups of friends who met at several local farmers’ markets in Luxembourg. With Opyos distilling an excellent artisanal gin and Mellis creating honey-based products, the two Luxembourg-based companies had the ambition to join forces and create something special together.
This new honey gin is created by infusing 100% Luxembourgish honey into a base of Navy Strength Gin before resting for several months. The result is a balanced palette of flavours, characterised by the floral sweetness of all-natural Mellis honey and the subtle juniper flavour of the gin.
