Apple-Cinnamon Mugcake & Arondio Latte

Ingredients

  • 1 Mug
  • 1 small whisk or fork
  • A microwave
  • A kitchen scale
  • 30 g of soft butter
  • 1 egg
  • 15 g fine granulated sugar
  • 15 g brown sugar
  • 20 ml milk
  • 30 g of fermenting flour
  • 10 g cornstarch
  • Vanilla flavouring
  • Pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 apple cut into cubes
  • A drizzle of honey
  • For the coffee :
  • A recipe glass
  • Nespresso milk frother
  • One Nespresso Arondio coffee capsule (150 ml)
  • 100 ml of cold milk

Instructions

For the cake:

  1. Melt the butter in the mug for about 20 seconds.
  2. Add the egg and mix.
  3. Then add the sugar, milk, self-rising flour, cornstarch and vanilla flavouring.
  4. Mix everything together to form a smooth dough.
  5. Add a pinch of cinnamon and the apple pieces to the cup and mix.
  6. Place the cup in the microwave for 1:30 to 3:00 (watch while it cooks).
  7. Remove the cake from the oven and garnish with a few more apple pieces, a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drizzle of honey.

For the coffee:

  1. Heat the milk
  2. Prepare your Nespresso Arondio (Gran Lungo size) in the glass.
  3. Add the hot milk.
