The Palacio Solecio is located in a former palace from the 18th century in the heart of Malaga’s historic district. The architectural firm Antonio Obrador has meticulously restored the Palacio Solecio with great care and attention to detail, giving it a discreet luxury. Old paintings and checkerboard patterned floors, decorative elements from the past blend skillfully with modern objects in the Andalusian style like the generous sofas in red, green, and white. Oak paneling, large mirrors, and marble give the rooms depth and a majestic ambiance. Each of them features an elegant marble bathroom. In the patio with its pyramid-shaped glass dome and decor of arches and columns, Michelin-starred chef José Carlos GarcÃa serves excellent cuisine at the Balausta restaurant.
