Eternal Innsbruck

The capital of Tyrol was named after the bridge over the Inn. Those who love history, castles, and grand buildings will feel right at home here, as will all those who love the Alps and want to be active.

From the imperial era to the present sporting scene: the city of Innsbruck offers astonishing contrasts. With structures from the Baroque, Rococo, and Gothic periods, it has preserved its bourgeois and aristocratic charm. But the Tyrolean capital is not just a collection of historical sites. Nestled in the Austrian Alps, the city has hosted the Olympic Winter Games twice (1964 and 1976) and takes pride in its sporting atmosphere, attracting mountaineers, skiers, climbers, cyclists, and hikers. Beautiful Christmas markets are organized in winter.
