Following the SOIF Bistro by Charly Biwer and Wengler, the Creutz (&) Friends Pop-Up welcomes, as of 4 July, NÏCE, the Belair-based ice cream parlour, into its concept store located opposite the Grand Ducal Palace. A refreshing breeze just in time for what’s shaping up to be a scorching summer.
A natural step forward for NÏCE
Cristian Brucculeri, founder of NÏCE alongside his wife Bettina Hertel, explains the launch of this new venture in simple terms. “This opening is a natural evolution of our project, which we want to expand locally, all the more so in collaboration with a well-known Luxembourg player with whom we can work in a complementary way, always with a focus on top quality.”
With a prime location in the heart of the city, NÏCE also aims to reach an international clientele, thanks to the many tourists visiting during the summer months.
The refined setting of Creutz (&) Friends, which has hosted a wide variety of participants to date, is now placing the spotlight on the culinary world. Boasting a lovely terrace and several indoor seating options, guests will be able to enjoy an ice cream, perhaps paired with a coffee NÏCE’s other speciality. Nine flavours can be tasted on site, which change regularly, as well as merchandising products all branded NÏCE (such as caps, t-shirts, mugs, …).
In this new space, Cristian Brucculeri is keen to offer the same high-quality products that have built their reputation, along with attentive service. “Human connection is fundamental for us, just like beautiful interior design and, of course, quality local products,” he adds.

Launching a new summer flavour
Known for its collaborations with local names such as Genaveh, Bernard Massard, Clos du Rocher and De Gudde Wellen, NÏCE has also unveiled a brand-new ice cream flavour co-branded with Creutz, under the charming name a Sweet Summer. ” A strawberry, vanilla and lemon ice cream flavours that are particularly popular with our Luxembourg clientele,” says Cristian.
This pop-up will remain in place until mid-September. 11 weeks that will also allow, according to Cristian Brucculeri, to assess whether opening a second shop elsewhere in the capital is the right next step.
So, will it be in a cone or a cup?
