From 12 to 25 May, the NGO Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg is calling on everyone in Luxembourg to get involved and take action during Fairtrade Weeks 2025, the country’s major celebration of fair trade. This year, the event is driven by a powerful and hopeful new message: “Together, we’re changing trade — for a fairer world!”
A meaningful collective movement
In a world marked by economic, social, and environmental uncertainty, these two weeks offer a chance to take positive, collective action — an effective antidote to today’s climate of anxiety. Because the choices we make as consumers have real power: they directly help improve the lives of producers and workers across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.
During Fairtrade Week, Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg will shine a spotlight on the people behind the products we enjoy every day — our coffee, bananas, and chocolate — goods that are often taken for granted, with little thought for their origins or the labour involved.
Behind every Fairtrade product lies a human story, a commitment, and a drive for social and environmental justice.
How to take part
You’re free to join in — in your own way! Here are a few ideas for activities you could organise at home, at work, in your school, local council or shop:
- A Fairtrade breakfast at home or in the office
- A cooking class featuring a dessert or dish made with Fairtrade ingredients
- A Fairtrade coffee break at work
- A Fairtrade banana as a sporty snack
- Special Fairtrade displays in your shop: tastings, offers, eye-catching product placements
- A Fairtrade treasure hunt to raise awareness while having fun
- A video or social media post to spread the word (#FairtradeWeek2025)
And why not encourage your company’s canteen or your school’s dining hall to make the switch to Fairtrade?

A celebration for everyone
Fairtrade Week is also a great opportunity to meet the partners behind the movement and explore the incredible variety of Fairtrade products available in Luxembourg: coffee, bananas, chocolate, tea, cashews, tomatoes, cane sugar, roses, croissants, rice, quinoa…
Over 5,250 Fairtrade-certified products are currently available on the Luxembourg market.
