Admittedly, I was somewhat skeptical whether the Alhambra would truly captivate me. After all, it was mainly this wonderful building that lured me to Granada on a gloomy weekend in March. Although the term ‘weekend’ doesn’t quite fit with a Sunday flight, but that’s really beside the point.
Granada welcomes me with the best spring weather, and the reception at the hotel is equally charming. The Alhambra Palace, where I booked two nights, impresses with a stunning location on a hill, within walking distance of the Alhambra, featuring beautiful rooms, old wooden floors, and renovated chambers. However, if you prefer trendy hotels with designer sofas and iconic bath products, this address is not for you. Here, you’ll find a dignified ambiance and authentic, knightly elegance befitting a historic traditional establishment.
