Ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • 250 ml warm water
  • 11 g active dry yeast
  • 30 g sugar
  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 5 g salt
  • 30 g olive oil
  • For the toppings:
  • 125 g pesto sauce
  • 200 g broccoli florets, steamed
  • 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. To make the dough: In a large bowl, mix together the water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  2. Add in the flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat oven to 220°C.
  6. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to desired thickness.
  7. Spread the pesto sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Sprinkle the steamed broccoli over the pesto sauce.
  9. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  10. Bake the pizza in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Remove from oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
