Suspended 50 metres above ground by a construction crane, with sweeping views over the old town, a unique culinary experience awaits from 25 to 27 September 2025. Since its debut in Belgium in 2006, Dinner in the Sky has made waves around the world. It’s now returning to Luxembourg for the sixth time – but for the first time, it will be held at a location listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The setting is spectacular: a floating platform for 22 guests, offering unobstructed views over Grund, Kirchberg, the old town and the Pétrusse valley. The event format has already been staged in more than 60 countries – from Las Vegas to Dubai. In Luxembourg, too, it elevates haute cuisine to new and unusual heights. This year, for the first time, it takes place at a new location: the Citadelle du Saint-Esprit.
The open-air kitchen will be taken over in turns by several of Luxembourg’s Michelin-starred chefs:
Thursday, 25 September:
– Lunch (12:00 & 14:00, sold out): Kajiwara Ryodo (Ryodo *)
– Dinner (19:00 & 21:30): Cyril Molard (Ma Langue Sourit **)
Friday, 26 September:
– Lunch (12:00 & 14:00, sold out): René Mathieu (FIELDS *)
– Dinner (19:00 & 21:30): Archibald De Prince (Restaurant Archibald de Prince *)
Saturday, 27 September:
– Lunch (12:00 & 14:00): René Mathieu & Archibald De Prince (4-hands dinner)
– Dinner (19:00, sold out & 21:30): Clovis Degrave (Grunewald Chef’s Table *)
Around 50% of the seats are reserved for companies using Dinner in the Sky as a platform for brand promotion, networking and client entertainment – with custom branding, private lounges and the option to showcase products on-site.
The event has been organised in collaboration with public authorities such as the Ministry of Culture, Ponts et Chaussées and the Cité Judiciaire – a logistical effort that highlights how firmly the format has now been institutionalised.
Whether viewed as an example of experiential dining culture or a spectacular performance, Dinner in the Sky remains a project that balances exclusivity, boundary-pushing and perfect timing.
