  • 200 g butter<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  • 100 g curd cheese<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  • 10 eggs<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

  • 350 g carrots<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  • 200 g ground nuts<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  • 250 g grated coconut (replaces the sugar)<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  • 5 drops of bitter almond extract<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t <\/ul>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t <\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t

    Instructions<\/h3>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t

    1. Grease a baking tin with butter and dust with sugar (the sugar will caramelise the exterior and lend the cake a delicate sweetness).<\/li>\n
    2. Preheat the oven to 180\u00b0<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Separate the eggs, then add a pinch of salt and beat the egg white until stiff.<\/li>\n
    4. In a separate bowl, soften the butter, then gradually add and combine the remaining sugar, the egg yolk, the quark and vanilla sugar.<\/li>\n
    5. Finely grind the nuts, peel and grate the carrots.<\/li>\n
    6. Sieve the two flours with the baking powder into a different bowl.<\/li>\n
    7. Add the carrots, nuts, coconut flakes, flour-mix, and bitter almond extract to the butter, then carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the mixture.<\/li>\n
    8. Pour the dough evenly into the baking tin and bake for 1 hour.<\/li>\n
    9. Out of the oven, cover with a tea towel. Let it cool down completely before removing it from the tin.<\/li>\n
    10. Dust with icing sugar and grated carrots before serving.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Poke the cake with a small stick to determine if its properly baked.
