The Cactus Group’s roasting plant is the largest producer of Fairtrade-certified coffees in the Grand Duchy. In 2019, 88 tonnes of Fairtrade coffee were produced by the Bruno roasting plant in Windhof, guaranteeing in particular a stable minimum price for coffee producers, enabling them to live in dignity. The company wishes to further accentuate this commitment with the launch of five new products marketed under the Cactus brand: Espresso, Dessert, Mocca, Fête and Decaffeinated. The beans used in these perfectly balanced blends come from producers in Brazil, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico.

With ten Fairtrade coffees now freshly roasted in Windhof and marketed under the Bruno and Cactus brands, the company is strengthening its commitment to fairtrade. The coffee industry is an important economic pillar for many countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Even today, most coffee producers have to survive on less than $2 a day and are subject to local intermediaries, without access to market information or price.

Cactus Espresso, Dessert, Mocca, Fête and Decaf coffees are now available in Cactus stores.
